Computer Telephony Integration – in short CTI – describes the combination of telecommunications and information technology. Phone calls can be accepted, made and ended over the computer using the CTI. Besides, it enables the further arrangement of calls as well as the construction of telephone conference possible. A TAPI interface makes the direct calling of a contact stored, e.g., in an e-mail program or a CRM system possible.
